Itinerary

Let’s start with Yangon, a city crowned by the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. It is pretty warmth in Yangon, feel the welcome hot moist breeze on arrival at Yangon International Airport. Our experienced guide will meet and welcome you at the Airport. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 6:00 PM
Breakfast at hotel. Today, we will bring you Downtown areas; City Hall, Independent Monument at the Mahar Bandoola Park near Sule Pagoda, the Court Office and the Customs House, located along the Strand Road where most colonial buildings stand today as colonial heritage sites. Enjoy shopping at Bogyoke market and Junction City Shopping Center. Visit ChaukHtatGyi Reclining Buddha Image. Then, visit World Famous Dazzling Shwedagon Pagoda (2600 years old). Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 7:00 AM – End time: 5:00 PM/ Flying hours: 1 hour (estimate)
Breakfast at hotel. Today, we will fly to Loikaw, the slow paced capital of Kayah state. Arrive Loikaw Airport. Basing ourselves in Loikaw we make day visits to Local Market. Then, we will explore a recently opened limestone cave, TaungKwelZayDi with impressive stalactites. Finally, proceed to Kayah State Cultural Museum which display bronze drums used in wedding and funeral occasions, stone beads, household utensils, traditional looms, traditional dresses, silverware, weapons, paintings and musical instruments of the Kayah people. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel in Loikaw.

Breakfast at hotel. Today, we will drive to Pan Pet village which offers opportunities for scenic hikes and chances to meet the local villagers – including the long-neck women. If you visit, make sure that to show them respect; the women are happy for their photo to be taken, but too often visitors get in their faces and crowd them, without even an introduction. If you make friends first, it will be appreciated. In most villages, there are stalls where local handicrafts can be purchased, including bracelets and colorful scarves.Moreover, you will see how they make their traditional alcohol which you can taste, the Padaung women who will entertain you by their hand-made instruments, playing children & houses with long legs. Then, proceed & enjoy your scenic view of NgweTaung reservoir which is located in Demoso and visit their authentic market at Demoso. Transfer back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 4:00 PM
Breakfast at hotel. Drive & transfer to PheKhone Jetty where you will start your boat trip throughout this day. After 2 hours boat ride from PheKhone Jetty, we will arrive wonderful Sagar Village, dramatized by the greenly scenery mountains amid the Shan Plateau near the Inle Lake. You will see blushing faces of Pa-O tribe & also their cultures & traditions; sugar making, green & fresh fields & their home-made traditional wine.Then, proceed to TharKhaung Village by boat for 30 minutes for your lunch stop. On the way to TharKhaung Village, you can gaze at the blue hazy mountains, feeding groups of water birds that are chattering here and there on the Lake, scattering floating vegetation’s.Finally, transfer to hotel in Inle Lake. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Inle lake (nestled amidst hazy blue mountains is the beautiful Inle Lake 900 meter above sea level) where you can study Inthar tribes’ and their ways of life. Boat trip to Inle Lake sightseeing including: Morning Market, Indein Pagodas, PhaungDawOo Pagoda (Holly 5 Buddha Images), Floating Gardens & Plantation, Cheroot Making, Silversmith, Cotton & Silk Hand Weaving, Padaung family house (Long Neck tribes), NgaPheChaung Monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 4:00 PM
Breakfast at hotel. Go shopping at beautiful hilly tribe morning market. You will see colorful vegetable & fruits and enjoy with the happy cooking class with the things you’ve got from the fresh market. You may join cooking tasks and have fun & Enjoy lunch. Then, enjoy canoeing in scenic Inle Lake and gain more insight on the Inthar people’s deep-rooted heritage. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 10:00 AM – End time: 3:00 PM / Driving hours (NyaungShwe – Kalaw): 1 hour & 30 minutes
Breakfast at hotel. Then, drive to Kalaw. Arrive Kalaw in the late afternoon. Visit Shwe U Min Pagoda and other beautiful view points. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 9:00 AM – End time: 5:00 PM

Breakfast at hotel. We explore the historic Kalaw train station and hop on the train bound for Thazi. Once train roll slowly towards Sin Taung located at 4465 feet above sea level. The exciting journey goes through tunnels, narrow valleys and high reef passing 4608 feet so-called summit (approx. one hour). We get down at Sintaung (elephant shaped mountain), name after a mountain similar to elephant. Sintaung located at 4425 feet above sea, inhabited by Danu, TaungYoe and Nepalese community. Here we visit old railway station and check in at our community lodge. After a brief fresh up we explore village lead by our local guide. We stop at some of the designated local homes for various activities (tea leaf making, Khawpot making, local food making etc) and later walk up the hilltop Pagoda for the stunning view of the valley below. In the evening we enjoy sumptuous local meal over a cultural show performance by the community. Dinner and overnight at Community House.

Start time: 8:30 AM – End time: 5:00 PM
Breakfast and we trek to Hinkha Gone, located at 4767 feet above sea, (2.5 mile, and approx. 1½ hour). Trail goes immediate uphill all the way stays pretty much on the ridge till we get to the village. From here we head towards north and keep our trail on the ridge having right side is protected forests and left side is open view to the valley to view point, parched at 4715 feet above sea, (2 mile, approx. one hour). We will stop over here for lunch and take some time to enjoy the view from the ridge. From here we trek along dirt road but beautiful surrounding to Pinmagon where we visit the Pinmagon monastery housing famous Nee Paya (Bamboo Buddha Image) which was estimated to be built during Ava Period over 500 years ago. The Image is eight feet four inches high and noted for its longevity, its prevention of fire, and wish granting powers. From here we walk back to Kalaw downtown to complete this unique experience. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Today, we will visit colorful local Market, then feel the ancient time 11 century visit to the famous ancient Temples with amazing architecture of Bagan Era and also visit Bagan Lacquerware work shop to learn 18 to 21 steps of tradition method. Horse cart ride (45 minutes) around the temples, enjoy eye-catching sunset at one of the famous monuments or hills over old Bagan. Overnight at hotel.

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 6:00 PM / Flying hours: 1 hours & 20 minutes (estimate)/ Driving hours (Bagan – Popa): 1 hour & 15 minutes

After breakfast, drive to Mt. Popa (Extinct Volcano) as well as Oasis of the dry zone. On the way to Mt.Popa, stop at palm sugar hut (maple syrup-like liquidcollected by climbing and cooked in big woks tomake palm sugar). They also grind the sesame and peanut to obtain oil from crop they grow on farmswhich are demarcated by palm trees in neat rows. We will visit local villages near Popa area from a different perspective as you explore the area for local lifestyle and children school as well. Back to Bagan, transfer to airport and fly back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon. Overnight at hotel.
