The most memorable parts of Inle Lake life are seeing the sunrise & sunset over the lake and sleeping in a cottage overlooking Inle Lake – the sound of water and nature in the green background. PhaungDawOo Pagoda Festival is one of the biggest and most famous festival in Myanmar, taking place annually in Inle Lake. The attention of the festival is the long boat race. The boats are paddled using the skillful, one-legged rowing technique, teamed up by about 50 rowers, representing the villages.

Itinerary

Arrive Heho. Our experienced guide will meet and welcome you at the Airport. Drive to Inle. After 45 minutes drive (estimated), you will arrive Inle ,”Heart of Shan State”. Then, we will visit Inle lake (nestled amidst hazy blue mountains is the beautiful Inle Lake 900 meter above sea level) where you can study Inthar tribes’ and their ways of life. Boat trip to Inle Lake sightseeing including: PhaungDawOo Pagoda (Holly 5 Buddha Images), Floating Gardens & Plantation, Cheroot Making, Silversmith, Cotton &SilkHand Weaving, Padaung family house (Long Neck tribes), NgaPheChaung Monastery. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel and we will explore to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival which is one of the biggest and most famous festival in Myanmar, taking place annually in Inle Lake, Shan State, usually between Sep and Oct, and is celebrated for 18 days. During the festival, four of the five gilded Buddha images are removed from their shrine in the PhaungDawOo Pagoda and placed on the Royal Karaweik barge to tour around the lake, from village to village. The busiest time of the festival is on the day when the images arrive at the main town of NyaungShwe. At there you can see most pilgrims from the surrounding region come to pay their respects and join the festivities. Overnight at hotel.
