You get picked up at your hotel in Mandalay to drive to Amarapura. There you visit Mahagandayon, a well-known Buddhist Monastery, where over thousands of monks live and study. Next, we move to Ava (Inwa) by a ferry ride from Myitnge River. Upon arrival, hop on a horse-cart offers you the opportunity to discover the picturesque ruins and surrounding countryside at a relaxed and more tranquil peace. Visit the teak monastery of BagayaKyaung (famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts) and the former royal monastery temple known as MahaAungmyeBonzan, completely built of brick and stucco. After that we will head to Queen Mae Nu’s brick monastery, decorated with fine stucco sculptures. Back to Mandalay. On the way, enjoy the sunset time at U Bein teak bridge, a famous 0.7-mile (1.2-kilometer) long span that straddles Taungthaman Lake which is known as the longest teakwood bridge in the world, it’s a great spot to pause for photos as local villagers and monks pass back and forth. Transfer back to your hotel.
