Itinerary

Arrive at Sittway Airport, transfer to jetty. Take a locally designed Boat trip in the river Kaladan. With luck, you will see dolphins and rare birds, villages along the shore, white-washed pagodas and ancient sampans on their way from here to there. It will take 5 to 6 hours to Mrauk U (it depends on water tide). Arrive Mrauk U. Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. Today we will start Mrauk U sightseeing including : MunKhaungShwe Du (17th Century) sand stupa and Pisi ruined temple with 5 monolith images of Laymyo dynasty prior to MraukU Dynasty. Immense Kothaung cave temple of 16th century (Resemble Borobudur of Java) Ruined Temple. Walk Through “Wah Thee” or Alay Zee village where there are primitive traditional method of alcohol distillery, and hats, mats, baskets, fans making home industries, they are made of bamboo and vegetable materials. You will get to explore old city wall and city gate, beautiful Lake of MraukOo dynasty.
Then, visit Luck Kauk Zee monastery where you can study Buddhist art collections from Vethali dynasty (4th to 9th century), Lay Myo dynasty (10th to 15th century). After sightseeing, enjoy eye-catching sunset at U Mya War Hill top. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. We will visit Chin Villages and women with tattoos on their faces.
At 7:30 A.M, leave from your hotel to Poephyukyun village boat Jetty by car. It will take 30minutes. 2-hour trip by boat over the Lay Myo River brings you inside Chin State; one of the most remote state in Myanmar with a mainly Christian population. Your guide will show you the tradition and culture of the Chin people and you will probably meet some of the older women who still have their face tattooed. It is a very interesting daytrip with a focus on ethnic villages. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. We will explore colorful market. And, Visit Prun Zee & Kyauk – Reike village where making of Thatch roof sheets from nipa palm leaves, collecting nipa palm (a kind of toddy juice), when fresh it is sweet and kept in the sun, the juice ferments and intoxicated. Then, pay a visit Pha Ra Paw temple and Law-Ka-Man-Aung stupa, Shit Thaung cave temple of 1553, Ann Daw Thein cave temple with fine stone carvings (Supposed to be enshrined the relic molar of Lord Buddha.)
And visit a massive cave fortress like temple of HtukeKan Thein. Then, explore MahaBodiShweGu temple, Thet village (You can see a few old ladies wearing bigearings, this is old tradition), Chin Kyitelibary, Anorma image and sunset from RatanaSanrie hill. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, drive back to Sittway by car. After 3 hours & 30 minutes drive (estimate), arrive Sittway. We will visit to local market, MAHAKUTALA monastery (Buddhist Museum), U YE KYAW THU monastery (Colonial style building), ATAULAMARASEIN BAYAGYI (British period bronze image). Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, you can visit to colorful market, and then transfer to airport.
